Footage for this movie came primarily from my visit to the Experience Music Project's exhibit Nirvana:Taking Punk to the Masses. I visited the exhibit on April 22, 2011, opening week. There were so many things to look at it was hard to focus on anything. As soon as I entered the exhibit, I felt a piece of Kurt. My favorite part of the exhibit is a live recording booth that all Nirvana fans can record their Nirvana Story. I have mine, including the hilarious outtakes, in Part 2 of this 3 part story. Attention: I do not own any rights to the music played in the video. That stands with the artists solely. Also, any images you see either duplicated or my photo/video of images I also do not have rights to. This video is simply my experience, the exhibit from my point of view. We strongly disagree. As the editorial stated, the impact of the landfill does indeed depend on your point of view, especially when your view is at the bottom of a 260-foot mountain of garbage. Severe odors, noisy truck traffic, drifting garbage, and blowing ash are only some of the communities' burdens. The real question is why are we still relying on an antiquated method of garbage disposal to fund town needs. The state agrees in its recent waste management plan "Beyond Waste" that states this isn't sustainable. We need to reduce, reuse, and recycle and move beyond dirty, polluting landfills. True, the issue is bigger than Brookhaven, which accepts ash and waste from ! other towns. Managing our solid waste is an island-wide problem, yet southern Brookhaven communities have unfairly and unwillingly borne the brunt of a diminished quality of life, health problems and decreased home values. When is enough enough? When do we get serious about managing solid waste in a way that doesn't create mountains of garbage? The Evolution of the Moon

This video was produced by NASA in honor of 1000 days in orbit by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO). It takes viewers through the moon's evolutionary history, and reveals how it came to appear the way it does today. The moon did not always look this way. It likely started as a giant ball of magma formed from the remains of a collision by a Mars-sized object with the Earth about four and a half billion years ago. After the magma cooled, the moon's crust formed. Then between 4.5 and 4.3 billion years ago, a giant object hit near the moon's South Pole, forming the South Pole-Aitken Basin, one of the two largest proven impact basins in the solar system. This marked the beginning of an era of collisions that would cause large-scale changes to the moon's surface, such as the formation of large basins. Because the moon had not entirely cooled on the inside, magma began to seep through cracks caused by impacts. Around one billion years ago, it's thought that volcanic activity e! nded on the near side of the moon as the last of the large impacts made their mark on the surface. Smaller objects continued to batter the moon. Some of the best-known impacts from this period include the Tycho, Copernicus, and Aristarchus craters.
